Synopsis

Cologne, 1973: 20-year-old Marie Breuer starts work as a promising secretary in one of Germany's largest private banks, where the very big financial speculation wheel is spinning. Fascinated by this world, she realizes almost too late that she is about to become part of the story of the first big bank crash of the still young FRG. And the downfall of the House of Herstatt.
